What’s Left? Our Rights | Noah Wagoner

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Noah is a transgender male who will shift our understanding of gender. He’ll share his personal journey to help us empathize with a community where something so basic as identity can be challenged daily.

Noah Wagoner is a social activist and educational speaker serving the transgender community. In 2009, he co-founded The Self Made Men, an organization providing advocacy, education, and mentorship for transgender men of all ages. Noah has been working in high schools, colleges, and professional settings across NY advocating for acceptance and celebration of the transgender community. Using humor to help create a safe environment for conversation, he encourages discourse that fosters better understanding and appreciation for this unique community.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.

The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
